If you read virtually any gardening blogs at all, you probably already know that this past weekend some 70 of us were in Buffalo having the time of our lives. Given the already wall-to-wall coverage, I'll just add a few of my favorite photos, a HUGE thank you to our incredible hosts and organizers Jim and Elizabeth for putting together a practically perfect few days.

Too much fun, eh Joseph! I want to let you know that the Astilbe made it all the way back to TN with the long flower stalk intact, two flights and the car ride from airport to garden. Thanks for insisting that it needed to be added to the Fairegarden. It was lovely to meet you. :-)

Of all the posts that have been written, by all the bloggers so far, and for all the posts that may come up in the next few days and weeks as people start to sort through photos, write & post, I think your title "Beautiful Buffalo" sums up all we wanted to share about our city. It was a pleasure to meet you in person.
I'm glad you did! You offer a new perspective on Buffalo. Thanks for sharing.
Frances,
It was a thrill to meet you, and I'm so glad the astilbe made it home safe and sound! I look forward to seeing pictures of it in the fairegarden.
Jim,
Thank you again for doing such a fantastic job of showing us how beautiful buffalo is! I really enjoyed meeting you.
Shirley,
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I'm so glad I got to meet & chat with you. Buffalo is incredibly beautiful and touring it was a blast.
BTW - the 'Heart of Gold' mothership is still blooming well, the last of the Columbines to be doing so in my garden.
It was a pleasure to meet you at Buffa10, Joseph. I thought you were truly an example (as the youngster of the group and one of the very few guys) of how a love of gardening can bring different people together.
Joseph, it was great to meet you and I hope you make it through school unscathed. Buffa10 was a blast, wasn't it?
Mrs. MD: The mothership is STILL blooming? Wow. All mine have been done for a while. Can't wait to see what the little escape pods grow into! So enjoyed meeting you as well! Next time I head to Chicago, I'm going to have to see your garden.
Pam,
Great meeting you as well! You know, when I start talking plants, I forget age and gender differences -- we're all just gardeners!
Jean,
It WAS amazing. Only one more year of school, so I think I'll make it.
Joseph-
It was great to meet you and best wishes for finishing up your dissertation this year.
Glad you have gardening and plants to support you through the process...
Lisa
Joseph, I'm so glad I got to meet you and I hope to renew our acquaintance next year in Seattle! Hope your final year of school goes smoothly ... we look forward to calling you Dr. Greensparrow!
If you're ever in Texas, let us know!
Cindy, great to meet you as well! I'm already anticipating not being able to attend next year's meet up because I'll probably be in the insanity that is preparing to defend my dissertation -- but I look forward to keeping in touch virtually! And maybe I'll make it to Texas someday.
