Cardoon flower

Life's been busy, so no real post, but here's a quick picture of one of my cardoons blooming! Oh how I love this plant!

    Mine is blooming too -- behind a group of yellow rayed lilies, of all things. They are wonderful. Are they a perennial for you?

    Ooh! That sounds like a gorgeous combination!
    I've got them in a sheltered spot, and they've been hardy for me for the past few years, but I wouldn't be surprised if a really hard winter knocks them out.
