I still don't quite believe it

I've been growing plants from seed since before I started kindergarten

It seemed like magic to me then, and it still does today.

  1. I know what you mean. I have a tray of various seeds sitting on top of my fridge and can't help peeking at them every day to see if they have sprouted yet.

  2. whenever I sow I really have to try hard to imagine them germinating, it just seems so fantastic. Almost as good a feeling is dividing a perennial and having more for free!

  5. My favorite part of hort club was going to the mist houses after class and seeing all the flats of freshly sprouted seedlings. There is something magical about a room full of tiny plants just waiting to be potted up!

  6. Science is even more incredible than magic. Think about it; from that hard little thing a mighty tree could grow, or something wonderful to eat. Nature is incredible and awe inspiring.

  7. I am so glad to hear someone else say this! This will be my third year starting seeds, and each time I still can't quite believe it will work.
